How to communicate effectively with investors when a bear market is within reach (or already here)

It usually feels good to deliver good news. It’s when we fall upon hard times that communicating with your key stakeholders becomes difficult. And it’s particularly frustrating when the circumstances are not necessarily under your control, such as the market volatility and plunging prices we have been witnessing.
On Monday, a Marketwatch article reported that the Dow Industrials’ 300-plus-point drop Monday significantly increases the likelihood that the bull market has neared its end, if it hasn’t already. In this doom and gloom environment, it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, especially when you get a lot of grumpy shareholders knocking on your door asking you what your company is going to do to adjust to the market conditions.
