Seven companies sweep their sectors — capturing first place in every category in which they’re eligible to compete — on the 2016 All-Europe Executive Team, Institutional Investor’s exclusive annual ranking of the region’s corporate leaders as seen through the eyes of investment professionals:
• Airbus Group, an aircraft manufacturer based in the Netherlands
• Anheuser-Busch InBev of Belgium, a beverage company and brewer
• Continental, a tire manufacturer headquartered in Germany
• Deutsche Telekom, a telecommunications services provider also based in Germany
• Spain’s Ferrovial, a building and construction concern
• Iberdrola of Spain, one of the world’s largest electric utilities (by market capitalization)
• Reckitt Benckiser Group, a consumer goods company headquartered in the U.K.

Winners will be honored at a dinner and ceremony on June 15 at 155 Bishopsgate in London.
Institutional Investor asked portfolio managers and sell-side analysts to name the best CEOs, CFOs and investor relations professionals at the European companies they cover, and to evaluate these businesses on their performance in each of eight IR attributes, including accessibility of senior managements, quality and depth of answers to inquiries, transparency of financial reporting and disclosure, and so on.
The overall rankings in each of the four categories — Best CEO, Best CFO, Best IR Professional and Best IR Company — are based on combined buy- and sell-side votes.
Survey results reflect the opinions from nearly 1,665 investment professionals at close to 570 financial services firms. Respondents from the buy side work at firms that collectively manage an estimated $4.1 trillion European equities.
