The IR Magazine Global Roadshow Report 2014, sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofAML), is the definitive guide to roadshow practices around the world. The report's findings are based on the responses of 1,146 investor relations professionals to a survey carried out in the first half of 2014, where they were asked about their experiences, practices and preferences when it comes to roadshows.
The report broadly covers where roadshows tend to take place, which brokers are used to organize them and which types of meeting IROs prefer, as well as more specific trends, including:
Only 15 percent of North American respondents consider investor conferences the 'most rewarding way' of meeting investors
European IROs are the ones most likely to go on a roadshow with a broker that gave their company a negative or neutral rating
Asian respondents attended almost triple the average number of investor days and site visits over the course of 2014
